Regular place and time
Shawnee Indian Mission at 7pm

Knitting with beads

I am going to talk about knitting with beads.  Meaning using beads
in the cuffs on knitted socks, scarves, and other items.   I will bring my
bead spinner if I find it in the unpacked boxes before then and also the
size of beads I use in my knitting with beads. I will bring a pair of my
socks that have beads on the cuffs.

November meeting is elections and we need to be thinking about who we would like to hold the various offices. President, Vice President/program planner, newsletter, website and treasurer. I would like to thank all of those people who were gracious enough to take over the positions this past year.

 Creative Hand

 CREATIVE HAND:

This year's 25th annual Creative Hand show will be Friday, November 16, 4-9 and Saturday, November 17, 10-5 at the Sylvester Powell Community Center NE corner of Lamar and Martway in Mission, KS.  We have 36 artists participating this year and the excitement is building as we prepare for a wonderful show.  We have lots of "new looks" in the works: Color postcard invitation, runway Fashion Show on Friday at 7:00, Demonstrations all day Saturday, Front Room Features of the show, and a new look to the display of our beautiful textile treats.  At the Guild meetings, we will have sign-up lists if you want to help at the show.  We can always use extra hands for working the floor and demonstrations.  Please call if you have any questions.

 From the Editor....
I am off to the Taos Wool Festival this weekend. Will report what it is like in the southwest at their festival. I suspect that their is more natural dyed there. Can't wait to go. Please let me know about your upcoming events so that I can put them in this and did I say that this is a FREE service???

Along the same lines, we have lots and lots of space to fill up in YOUR newsletter for ads of things to buy and sell, it is FREE!

Anything of interest listing coming up,,,,FREE!!!!

Just click on spindeb@aol.com and send me your news, ads, event coming up, etc...

I would rather have them in email form. It is just easier for me.

Check out the festivals in Weston, they have the apple, the irish and more. It is a beautiful time of year to visit the north part of our area, the trees in the rolling hills are almost ready to turn so by the festivals it should be gorgeous. Take a drive while the price of gasoline has gone down. Sorry this is short this month no time to add.
